Semantix S.A. signed contract with the municipal library of Kozani (Κοβεντάρειος Δημοτική Βιβλιοθήκη Κοζάνης) for the development of a new library management system based on UNIMARC standards. The municipal library of Kozani is one of the most important medieval libraries worldwide featuring more than 40,000 rare books, codes and manuscripts. The system under development will feature a configurable DAML-based ontology model for the library allowing system administrators to easily administer metadata information and associations of the digital artifacts.
